2010...so far

The scaflet in the picture above was knitted for me for Christmas by Stephie

Hi There!

So far 2010 has been fairly uneventful. New Years Eve Justin and I stayed in. We cooked dinner together and played a few new board games. I was feeling the start of a cold so that is partly why we took it easy. We fell asleep around 11:30 on NYE on the couch and woke up at 11:55 just in time to see poor 'ol Dick Clark finish his countdown. After that, I immediately washed my face and went to bed. I am not one to stay up late.

New Years Day, we went to our friend's house for a Rose Bowl Party. That was fun. I made Toffee Bit Cookies the night before with crumbled Heath Bars as our contribution to the food for the get together. We took it easy on Saturday but Sunday we went to Justin's parent's house for our late Christmas celebration. That was fun opening gifts and visiting with them. I brought all of my wedding magazines and wedding type gifts I had received over the holidays to share with Justin's mom, Kari.

The second weekend in January, I went to the Portland Bridal show with Kari, Angela (Justin's sister), and Hallie (my great friend and bride's maid). There were so many booths of information at the Bridal Show. I took home a lot of great flyers that I can look back on in a few months to make decisions on which vendors to use.

The same day as the Bridal Show, our great friends Hallie & Mike treated Justin and me to P.F. Chang's for an engagement celebration. (thanks guys!) Mike is also in our wedding party as one of Justin's groomsman.

Justin is back in school after his holiday break. He is taking Microbiology, he attends school on Tuesdays & Thursdays. He is doing very well. He had his first "big" test for the class this past Tuesday and is probably finding out the results of the test as I type (he's @ school). Haha, how funny! I just got a text message from Justin saying he got an 88% on his test. Good job J!! I think I have ESP :)

Tomorrow night, we are going to try a food cart called Big Ass Sandwiches. It is owned by a couple we know, we just have not gone down town yet to try it out. If it's good I can take you guys there when you come visit! So much great food in Portland.

33 days until my 27th Birthday! Not that I am counting or anything, okay, okay, I am always counting. I make a point to tell Justin it is my half birthday. (in Sept.)

Okay, that is all for now, I am starting to ramble. :)
