I am lame

Today while at work, I was cutting up a customer's old debit card with scissors. For some reason my mind wasn't focused on what I was doing. While cutting the card and moving from right to left with each snip I failed to move my hand that was under the card out of the way as I was halfway done destroying the card. That being said I cut my pinky finger pretty bad with the scissors. Just the tip. I think my finger nail kept me from doing further damage. After about a half hour I was able to stop the bleeding and finish my work day. After work I went to "Urgent Care" and got a tetanus shot and my finger cleaned and patched up with those little adhesive strips. I have to keep the strips on for 5 days and make sure to keep them dry. After that, I should be good to go! What a stupid little accident. At least it doesn't hurt. :)

Sorry Justin, since I have to keep my finger dry, I can't do dishes, Doctor's orders :)

Skamania Lodge

A month ago, Justin and I planned a night away at Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, Washington. I was so excited when that day finally came. This past Saturday we boarded the dogs at a pet hotel and took a 45 minute drive to Skamania Lodge. Everything went great! It was super relaxing. We ate lunch, then worked out in the facilities gym (I have a 10k I am training for after all). Then it was time for the hot tub! Skamania has 2 hot tubs, one inside, one outside. They also have an indoor pool. As part of Spring Break activities, they had a big screen in the pool area and they were showing movies. While we were there they were playing "Ratatouille" which made me think of mom and Steph since we saw it together a few years ago. After the spa, we cleaned up and had a very nice dinner and dessert at one of the onsite restaurants. It was such a great trip and so nice to spend it with my best friend.

Sunday morning we went to a Champagne Brunch. All you can eat fancy food and all you can drink mimosas. Every time my glass was half full they waitress would refill me, haha. It was great! A bit later we headed back to Portland, picked up the dogs and headed home. We were pretty mellow the rest of the day. Ordered pizza and watched two movies, "Brothers" & "Inglorious Basterds". I thought both were really great.

Cable Knit Wrist Warmers

My friend, Laura, in California asked if I would knit her some wrist warmers. I like them!! The are super warm and still allow you to use your fingers in cold weather without removing your gloves. I think I might just make myself a pair for next winter.

Birthday Dinner

I am super late on posting this. The end of February I had an early birthday dinner with 8 friends at PF Chang's. It was so fun!! I need to get better at asking people to take pictures of the whole group. I only took two pictures that night, and this is one of them.

Angela's Bachelorette Party

Last night was Angela's Bachelorette Party (my future sister-in-law). She is getting married on April 1st to Justin's friend/band mate. They have been together for 5 years and known each other for gosh, 10 or so years..

There were about 10 girls at the party and one guy (Ang's longtime friend, Chris). We ate dinner at Oba!. After that we went to a few bars and then dancing at Fez, a fun place that has 80's music to dance to. We all had a great time!

Scarves

Hi, my name is Staci, and I am addicted to scarves. (HI STACI!!!) I think I have about 20. All of the folded things are scarves, my prettier ones are to the left on the hanger. I love my scarves and just thought I'd share that I have a TON of them :) and I have only been collecting for 4 years. When I moved to Portland, I only had one scarf (the striped one on the top and it was from Steph) Happy Saturday!

Engagement Photos

Yesterday, Justin and I took our engagement photos at Portland's Waterfront Park. I wanted pictures with the beautiful Cherry Blossom Trees. Above is a picture of what the park looks like. Most of our photos were taken in between the two rows of Cherry Blossom Trees. I wore a kelly green bolero sweater with a black tank top and jeans. Justin work a nice long sleeve plaid button up that was different shades of green with jeans. It will be about two weeks before we get to see them. I will be sure to share them right away.

10k!!

I signed up for a 10k (6ish miles) today! It takes place on May 2nd, 2010. I am very excited to start running and to have a goal to achieve. Wish me luck! Since it is a Cinco de Mayo run, there will be Mexican food and beer at the finish line. Woo hoo!
