Last night, Hallie, Andrea, I went to Kathy's Knit Korner in Hillsboro for a Knit-a-thon. It started at 6am Friday and went until 6am today. Woman were knitting to get donations to support research to find a cure for Cancer. The girls and I showed up at 8pm. We knitted until our hands hurt and our eyes crossed. We finally called it quits at 2am. I think we were all pretty proud of lasting that long. Hallie and I had never knitting anything with a real shape and last night the lady from the shop, Mary taught Hallie and I how to knit a hat. We picked out a fairly detailed pattern and besides "knitting in the round" we learned 3 or 4 stitches that we didn't have a clue before. We would look at the abbreviations on the pattern (ssk, psso, k2tog) and say "what the heck does that mean!?" Now we know, Yay!!!
Andrea is already a step ahead of us, she finished her first sock last night! She was so proud of herself, as she should be. It looked great. She even tried it on and modeled it for us. We all had a great time. I went to bed at 2:30a and in every single dream I was knitting. I woke up thinking about knitting. I think after I finish writing this I am going to go knit some more.
Stephie-I will have to make you a cute hat a matching scarf for xmas.
